About Roberta Thornton
Nurse Practitioner
Roberta Thornton is a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with more than a decade of experience in behavioral health. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Colorado State University Pueblo and further advanced her clinical training by completing a year-long Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner residency. Through this specialized training, she gained extensive experience in comprehensive psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based treatment for individuals across the lifespan.
A Pueblo native, Roberta has deep roots in the community she proudly serves. She considers it a privilege to provide behavioral health care to individuals and families in her hometown and is passionate about improving access to high-quality mental health services throughout Pueblo and Southern Colorado. Her approach to care is compassionate, evidence-based, and patient-centered, with a strong emphasis on building trusting relationships and collaborating with patients to develop treatment plans that align with their unique needs and goals.
Outside of her professional practice, Roberta enjoys spending time with her husband and their three sons, cheering them on at their many sporting events, traveling, and exploring all that Colorado has to offer.
