Health Solutions’ School-Based Outpatient Services team makes behavioral health care more accessible by meeting students where they are: at school.
As part of the Family Center Clinical Services, the team provides outpatient care during the school day at select schools across Pueblo School District 60, Pueblo County School District 70, Huerfano School District RE-1, and Trinidad School District 1.
Meet the Team
Clinicians Lanette Cid, Jennifer Fall, Diego Arriaga, Chantalle Trujillo-Navarrete, Vanessa Reyes, and TobiAnn Romero work alongside Clinical Care Specialist Cori Caveza and School Liaison Angela Romero. Together, they provide the same high-quality clinical services available at other Health Solutions outpatient locations, including:
- Individual therapy
- Group therapy
- Family therapy
- Crisis services
Clinicians are trained in a range of evidence-based practices, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, and the Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality.
Support Beyond the Therapy Room
- Clinical Care Specialist Cori Caveza helps clients complete screenings and the initial enrollment steps so they are ready for intake with a clinician. She also supports groups at co-located schools.
- School Liaison Angela Romero coordinates access to services and uses a multi-tiered system of support to assist students, staff, and families. She promotes positive mental health through consultation, Mental Health First Aid training, psychoeducation, wellness activities, and Acuwellness for staff.
Referrals and Eligibility
School counselors and administrators make most referrals for school-based therapy. Because regular attendance supports continuity of care and progress toward treatment goals, students receiving ongoing services should attend school consistently and not have circumstances, such as chronic absenteeism, truancy, or expulsion, that routinely interrupt treatment.
Connected to a Continuum of Care
Students may also be referred to additional Health Solutions outpatient resources, including prescriber services, specialized programs, and groups, while continuing to meet with their clinician at school.
