YEP Program Offers Space for Kids to Thrive Outside of School

The Youth Empowerment Program (YEP) offers a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for school-aged youth to grow, learn, and thrive.

Operating Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. during the summer months (excluding major holidays), YEP provides structured programming that supports both working families and the developmental needs of young people.

During the school year, YEP is open to kids from 3 to 6 p.m. after school and 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Fridays.

Kids in YEP

At the heart of YEP is a strong focus on mental health and social-emotional learning. Our program is designed to help youth build essential life skills that promote resilience, confidence, and overall well-being. Through intentional activities and daily interactions, participants learn how to understand and regulate their emotions, practice self-compassion, and navigate challenges in healthy and productive ways.

YEP emphasizes the development of healthy relationships and positive communication skills. Youth are guided in learning effective conflict resolution strategies, strengthening their ability to work through disagreements respectfully and constructively. We also place a strong emphasis on empathy, helping participants better understand and connect with others while fostering a sense of belonging and community.

In addition to emotional growth, YEP promotes physical wellness and healthy lifestyle habits. Youth are encouraged to engage in regular movement, build awareness around balanced nutrition, and develop healthy sleeping habits—all critical components of maintaining balanced energy and overall health. These lessons help lay the foundation for lifelong wellness.

Building confidence and self-esteem is another key focus of the program. Through supportive mentorship, positive reinforcement, and opportunities for personal achievement, youth are empowered to develop a strong sense of self-worth and a healthy self-image.

The Youth Empowerment Program is more than just care outside of school hours—it is a space where youth are supported in becoming their best selves. By addressing mental, emotional, and physical well-being, YEP prepares participants with the tools they need to succeed both now and in the future.
