Introducing Dr. Stephanie Payne, DO, to the Women’s Health Clinic at Health Solutions

Health Solutions Family Medicine at Perry Hall is pleased to welcome Dr. Stephanie Payne, DO, to our team! Dr. Payne, an expert in women’s health, will lead the launch of the Women’s Health Clinic at Perry Hall.

Dr. Payne shared her services below. Welcome to Health Solutions, Dr. Payne!

As a family medicine physician with advanced training in women’s health and perinatal mental health, I provide trauma-informed care for girls and women at every stage of life. My approach centers on safety, compassion, and whole-person support.

I stay current in the rapidly evolving field of women’s health through active involvement with leading organizations, including ACOG, the National Menopause Society, Postpartum Support International, and the International Institute for Restorative & Reproductive Medicine.

I hold a special commitment to caring for patients impacted by intimate partner violence, coercive control, trauma, or substance use. Too often, these women and girls are overlooked in traditional healthcare settings. At Health Solutions, I’m able to offer private, non-judgmental care supported by integrated behavioral health, case management, and community resources.

Dr. Stephanie Payne

After nearly a decade serving this community, I have strong partnerships with local OB/GYNs, maternal-fetal medicine specialists, doulas, and legal support agencies—allowing me to coordinate care seamlessly and ensure each patient receives the comprehensive support she deserves.

Clinical Services Offered

Reproductive & Gynecologic Care

  • Annual well-woman exams with screenings for cervical cancer and breast cancer, including life-long risk assessment
  • Do you know your BCRAT or Tyrer-Cuzick score? These assessments help estimate your risk of developing breast cancer – knowing this score helps us develop individualized breast cancer screening plans to keep you safe and healthy throughout all life stages!
  • Did you know that in menopause and after a hysterectomy, estrogen replacement may help reduce your risk of developing breast cancer?
  • Contraception counseling and management (IUDs, implants, oral contraceptives, non-hormonal options)
  • IUD insertion with medication options to help alleviate pain and anxiety
  • PCOS, Endometriosis, and Pelvic Congestion Syndrome evaluation, management, and coordination with specialists
  • Evaluation and treatment plans for frequent/heavy bleeding, painful periods, and missed cycles
  • STI screening, treatment, expedited partner treatment and prevention counseling

Prenatal, Pregnancy & Postpartum Care

  • Pre-pregnancy planning consultations with prenatal & genetic screening labs
  • Did you know ideally prenatal vitamins containing folic acid should be started 3 months before conception to help prevent defects that can occur very early in pregnancy?
  • Have you ever had genetic screening? We can offer pre-pregnancy screening to assess the risk of your baby developing genetic conditions like cystic fibrosis, spinal muscular atrophy, and much more! If you happen to be a carrier, we can get you in touch with a genetic counselor to discuss exactly what your test means, any further testing recommended, help arrange for your partner to be tested, and plan for pregnancy and beyond!
  • Taking long-term medications? We can review all of those together, determine safety in pregnancy, and change to pregnancy-safe medications if needed!
  • Education & guidance on fertility tracking
  • Learn how to track your periods and determine optimal time for conceiving!
  • Early pregnancy confirmation and counseling
  • Have you had a positive home pregnancy test? This can be a time of joy, fear, and stress all at once. You may have questions about what do next, where to get an ultrasound, how to initiate pregnancy care. We can help answer questions, schedule an ultrasound, get registered with our local Ob/Gyns and midwives, and make sure you have the resources needed for the best outcome possible no matter what you decide moving forward!
  • Support in coordinating an early pregnancy dating ultrasound to ensure most accurate dating
  • Referrals to local Obstetricians/Midwives for care throughout pregnancy
  • Early referral to Maternal Fetal Medicine for high-risk conditions (diabetes, hypertension, autoimmune disease, family history of congenital defects, thyroid disorders, etc.)
  • Postpartum follow-up to support recovery of women with high-risk pregnancies
  • Did you know women with gestational hypertension, pre-eclampsia, and/or gestational diabetes during pregnancy are at a very high risk for developing life-long hypertension, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease? Annual screenings to ensure you aren’t developing these conditions is very important!
  • Come see me 3-6 months postpartum (or sooner!) for ongoing management and screening to ensure you stay as healthy as possible!

Perimenopause & Menopause Support

  • Evaluation and management of hot flashes, difficulty with sleep, mood changes, urinary problems, sexual health issues, and hormonal transitions
  • Personalized symptom-relief plans
  • Hormone-replacement therapy
  • For decades, we have been warned against the use of hormone replacement therapy (HRT) – did you know on November 10, 2025, the FDA finally removed the black box warning from most HRT? Women have suffered through perimenopause and menopause with little to no relief.
  • Over 20+ years of research shows HRT can actually prolong life, especially for postmenopausal women who start therapy within 10 years of menopause or before the age of 60. HRT significantly reduces the risk of conditions that can result in premature death, particularly heart disease, bone fractures, and even Alzheimer’s disease.
  • Did you know vaginal estrogen does not get absorbed systemically? This means almost everyone is a candidate!

Why is this so important? Vaginal estrogen can literally save lives! As a 1st-line treatment for the prevention of recurrent UTIs in perimenopausal and menopausal women, it can actually prevent the development of urosepsis (a bladder infection getting into the blood stream) and keep women out of the ICU!

  • Bone health and cardiovascular risk assessment

Chronic Condition Management for Women

  • Thyroid disorders
  • High blood pressure
  • Supervised weight-loss plans
  • Diabetes and metabolic health
  • Autoimmune conditions
  • Pelvic pain
  • Urinary incontinence and/or recurrent bladder infections
  • Pelvic floor referrals and coordination
